Hello my name is Shawn Hughes I live in Fort Worth, Texas and I am a fifth generation Fort Worth Girl. I did live in Jackson Hole, Wyoming where I discovered a great love for Photography. I am an R.N. and when I am not working I'm usually trying to find something to take pictures of. I love to travel, and love my job. I have been an R.N. for 23 years now and love all kinds of patients. I went to work in the E.R. at Cook's Children's Hospital in Fort Worth after graduating from Texas Christian University. I didn't stay I found it too dificulty to see the little children so sick, and especially the one's who were terminally ill. I have worked in many areas of Nursing and have learned something from each patient. I love to work with...

What a great cloud photo! Opportunities like this with building cumulus are somewhat rare around my neck of the woods -- so I really appreciate what you've done here :) f/v

Oh, I am so glad you shared with me the story of your fondness, I think that is sweet that you had your little "shrine", you obviously knew that she would be a woman to be remembered! I'm glad you could see the "Marilyn" I thought about in these clouds! Thank you for sharing Pat! Awesome to talk to you! Best Always, Shawn

Oh, now I can totally see how the title matches the image! She's always been a favorite of mine. I was 12 when she died, and I kept a newspaper clipping "shrine" on my wall for so long my mom made me take it down due to the morbidity. These are Marilyn's clouds!

Yes, not an odd question at all, after uploading this photo, I studied it, It reminded me of beauty, mystery, a glimpse of sunlight, however the outside closing in looked very dark and depressing, or as if it would eventually be totally dark. I had just read that August 5th will be the 50th Anniversary of Marilyn Monroe's death. After reading the article of how she had been placed in many different Foster homes throughout her childhood, she then worked in a factory and was discovered by a photographer and encouraged to become a model. The rest of her history, the glamour, the movies, the ups and downs and the mysterious theories that seem to surround her death. I read she was known for her "uniqueness and extraordinary beauty". Having said all of that, I thought of her when studying what to title this photo. It just came to my mind for some reason seemed fitting. I don't know why I do that a lot. I have a couple of friends who tease me that my titles are "so dramatic"! Lol, it's just one of my odd ball qualities I tell them. But that was the thought behind these Clouds, beautiful, very unique, and only there for a very short time. Thanks for commenting on this Patricia, I am glad to explain my thoughts! Thanks for the comments as well! I hope your having a great day! Shawn

The colors of the clouds and shapes are very beautiful. It's a gorgeous photo, Shawn! I'm curious as to why you named it after Marilyn, of course! Do tell.
